When tragedy strikes, Nine Line Apparel has “got your six”. From natural disaster relief, to supporting nonprofit organizations, the veteran opened company based out of Savannah, Georgia, has given back to a variety of initiatives across the country. Now, that same giveback mentality is being directed towards their own community.
During the week leading up to Memorial Day, the Savannah Police Department lost two of its finest. Joey Lupus of the Southside Precinct Crime Suppression Unit passed away on Tuesday, May 22nd. Anthony Christie, another Savannah Police Officer and 13-year Navy Veteran, lost his life in the line of duty on Friday, May 25th, when his patrol car was struck by a tractor trailer. Upon hearing the news of these back to back losses, Nine Line’s staff took immediate action to support the families of the fallen.
“We’ve always been huge supporters of police and first responders,” said Ashli Clubine, Director of Public Relations for Nine Line. “When we heard what happened, right here in our home town, we knew we had to step up and do something.” “On behalf of the Savannah Police Department, we want to thank Nine Line, which is a veteran owned and operated company that shares our ideals of patriotism, service and honor,” said Chief Mark Revenew. “We know that they recognize there are many who continue to serve their community after their military service ends. The families of the two officers we lost will forever be in our hearts.”
Nine Line will be selling a fundraising design, “Savannah PD”, on their website ninelineapparel.com, from Monday, June 4th until Monday, June 18th. Proceeds from the sale of the design will go directly to the Savannah Police Department, to be disbursed to the families of these officers.
