1*Wellness is an outpatient mental health clinic. I furthered my education to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner after Andrew died. It became important to me to bring resources to my community. I went into private practice so first responders within my area could have access to treatment modalities that are effective for first responders, provided by a culturally competent provider. 1*Wellness offers Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). I am affiliated with the Missouri First Responder Provider Network, which is an organization that helps first responders find clinicians who are well versed in the traumas of first responder experiences and treatment options that work best for first responders. The design/logo of 1*Wellness is because Andrew was on the Rolla Police Department SWAT team. It's a reminder that every person has one life. First responders shouldn't only survive a call, they should thrive. It's always a possibility for a call to mentally follow them home, and there are treatment options to help.
