This was a birthday gift for my boyfriend and he was over the moon . This is absolutely amazing !! Beautiful piece ! Worth every penny !
It’s very well crafted and looks great on display. The only downside is that it comes WITHOUT any finish on it and NO display stand. If you do plan on staining the piece yourself, even the lightest stain will darken the lettering, making it harder to read and distinguish from the rest of the wooden plaque. You will want to go with a water-based stain in the lightest tone/shade you can find. DO NOT use an oil-based stain, or the lettering will be indistinguishable from the rest of the plaque. I was hoping that it would have came with a weathered or rustic varnish already applied to give it that aged/antique look. I decided to leave it as is in fear of ruining the contrast between the wooden plaque and lettering. Overall, it’s still worth it to purchase!

I purchased this and managed to plan a surprise citizenship party for my wife with 30+ people at texas roadhouse where i had this wrapped in an American flag and then wrapped in wrapping paper. I wood burned her name and date of citizenship in the back then used a Dremel to put a hole in the back just deep enough to hang it on a hook on the wall. My wife who now holds dual citizenship with Czech Republic and America loved it as did everyone who saw it!

The Declaration of Independence on wood is awesome‼️ I'm going to take some super fine steel wool and clean the few splinters from the router. Then take clear lacquer or epoxy and seal the burned in printing. Will send photos when completed.
Wow! This piece is awesome! It looks so good and is unfinished so you can put a nice coat of poly on it and keep it pristine.....
I bought this for my husband. As I thought would happen, we both love it! The quality is right on, the plaque has a pleasant aroma, and it looks great hanging just beneath our wood flag.

Why is your flag backwards?
Our Army has the flag retreating portrayed on their uniform, implying that we are always moving forward into battle and never backwards.
The blue field of stars on the American Flag should always be in the highest position of honor.
When viewing the flag on a wall, the highest position of honor is the upper left when displayed horizontally, and at the top (upper left) when displayed vertically.
When displayed on a "moving object" like a person or vehicle, the highest position of honor is the front, and not the rear; so the field of blue should be displayed to the front.
