#FreeEddie Update
In a monumental move, President Trump intervened on behalf of Chief Special Warfare Operator Edward Gallagher, securing his release from the brig in which he has been held since being arrested on September 11. After months of fighting Gallagher’s confinement and lack of adequate care, this decorated Navy Seal was reunited with his family and moved to a nearby naval base, where he is being kept under house arrest. Despite this move, he still has a long way to go, and he continues to face injustices in his confinement.
We will continue to support Chief Gallagher as he continues his fight for justice. This decorated veteran, who served eight tours overseas fighting for our country, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. He is still being denied basic American rights, rights that he as an American soldier fought and put his life on the line for.
In many ways, his current internment is more restrictive than it was previously. Despite our Commander in Chief’s order to release him from all restraining conditions, he is continuing to face major inequities under the authority of Captain Rosenbloom, the acting Commander responsible for overseeing Chief Gallagher’s imprisonment while he awaits his trial. Chief Gallagher’s meals are being heavily restricted and controlled, he is not permitted a phone, he has limited visitation with his family and counsel, and he is not permitted to drive to his attorneys’ office to adequately prepare for the upcoming trial. This is a blatant and deliberate restriction of basic necessities that serves no purpose other than to further perpetuate the claim that Gallagher is guilty, to isolate him both physically and psychologically, and to prevent him from sufficiently building his defense.
As we continue our fight for the rights and freedom of Chief Edward Gallagher, we are proud to have gained momentum in our pursuit of justice for this decorated veteran of the United States Navy. However, with the pending trial start date of May 28th looming on the horizon, Chief Gallagher is incessantly being restricted from adequate legal preparation, as he builds a case against corruption and lies.
Last week, I was fortunate enough to join Chief Gallagher’s wife, Andrea, on Fox and Friends, as we continue trying to bring the injustices he is facing to the American public. He continues to be kept under conditions that are completely contradictory to the order issued by President Trump, our Commander in Chief. These restrictions are obstructing Eddie’s ability to build a proper case with his legal counsel, and the truths of Gallagher’s incarceration are deliberately being withheld from the President by the officer in charge of Chief Gallagher’s confinement.
Though we at Nine Line Apparel have been able to raise over $90,000 for Chief Gallagher’s family, this is but a drop in the bucket of the debt that they are incurring as a result of his charges. Gallagher’s family has spent almost half a million dollars during the course of his imprisonment between legal fees and travel in support of his case. His wife and children have already endured his dozen deployments in service to our nation, yet they continue to be patronized, judged, and shamed in the eyes of the media.
Bottom Line, Up Front – Chief Edward Gallagher is a patriot who has served his country, a man who put his life on the line again and again. His is a father, a husband, a son. He is an American citizen, innocent until proven guilty, and he should be treated as such.
We refuse to stand by and let the media and courts run this man’s name through the mud for the sake of political agenda. This is a deliberate attack on a man who was willing to give his life for his country, but instead they are acting as though he is nothing more than a common criminal. We at Nine Line Apparel will proudly support Chief Gallagher as he continues to fight for justice and for his freedom. Through our “Free Eddie” initiative and fundraising shirt design, we have already raised over $80,000, and we will continue to raise funds and support his wife and children as the trial draws nearer.
Won’t be accepted. Who knows what’s next
I can’t imagine putting my fellow Seals in danger, disparaging a commanding officer and disgracing the military and then being applauded by company that states it’s support for soldiers and vets.
“Accusing someone of murder in Afghanistan is like giving out speeding tickets at the Indy 500.” Oh, yeah, I just retired after 20 years in SOCOM. Hey Eddie, love ya’ brother. We have “millennial” Green Beret’s too so I know exactly what your attorney is referring to.
As a 24 year veteran of the U.S. Navy, I can imagine what Chief Gallagher
is going thru. I had a lot of dark days when I never thought I would ever be able to endure my superiors but I thank God that I made it. I am praying for Chief Gallagher and his family. In the words of Dr. King, Free at Last, Free at Last, Thank God that I am Free At Last.
Nine Line should be commended for their support of Eddie! I just have to say how little is known about this ongoing injustice being carried out by the very leaders who should be the first recognize this hero for his service.
My two cents worth, I questions Captain Rosenbloom’s selfish self serving motives!
