NORMANDY

D-DAY 80TH ANNIVERSARY

Steven Melnikoff - Normandy Landings Veteran

Aged 105, Steven Melnikoff demonstrated exceptional service in the U.S. Army under the 1st Battalion, 175th Regiment, of the esteemed 29th Infantry Division. His profound experiences from the harrowing D-Day landings on June 06 and 07, 1944, distinguish him as a rare witness among the dwindling number of surviving veterans. Melnikoff was wounded twice and was present when the Americans met the Russians on the Elbe River shortly before the German Surrender.
