Sean Johnson, a Navy veteran, honorably served for 11 and a half years. He started his Navy journey on the USS Ronald Reagan as an ABF (Airman Boatswain’s mate – Fuels) and ended his time in the Navy as a GM (Gunners Mate) working with SEAL Team 17 for seven years. Sean learned to fly fixed-wing aircraft as a hobby, but in the end went on to become a Helicopter pilot. He was an eager and motivated Commercial Pilot with an instrument rating. He served CalFire Via Heli-1 corporation as a UH-60 SIC Pilot before ultimately moving to New York to work as a Line Pilot for a helicopter charter.
As a sailor, Sean was hard working, diligent, disciplined, reliable, and driven. As a friend he was compassionate, supportive, always encouraging and uplifting. He was a brother to many and we couldn’t be more proud of everything he accomplished.
On April 10, 2025, Sean’s life was tragically cut short in a helicopter accident over the Hudson River. In his memory, his Reagan family created this design to honor his legacy and his love for flying. We are grateful to carry that love forward and share it with all the lives he touched.
