Warehousing Roadmap

Past

We started by picking and packing orders with nothing but sticky notes, loose sheets of paper, and sheer determination—plus the occasional snake (yes, an actual live snake!) in the fulfillment area. It wasn’t pretty, but it got the job done.

Present

Now, we operate with sophisticated ERP systems, integrated heat mapping, KPI tracking, and advanced inventory controls to optimize every step of the process. These tools give us the visibility and precision needed to meet growing demand and scale with confidence.

Future

Looking ahead, we're investing in robotics and high-density storage to maximize space, speed, and accuracy. These innovations will allow us to house more inventory and ship faster—keeping pace with growing demand without compromising quality.

Past

We started with a heat press and a hustle, learning to screen print through online video tutorials and trial by fire. What began as DIY determination has grown into a full-scale production built on skill, grit, and nonstop learning.

Present

Now, screen printing is our core competency—driven by top-tier hardware, strategic production planning, and industry-leading talent. With a relentless focus on quality, we've turned a hands-on skill into a refined, high-output operation.

Future

In the future, we’ll stay at the forefront of apparel decoration by adopting the latest technology and innovations. By leveraging advanced machinery, we’ll increase output and offer greater customization—delivering speed, scale, and flexibility to our customers.

Retail Expansion - Coffee Meets Apparel

Past

In the past, our retail store was just a space to offload misprints and overstock, running on disconnected systems with scattered data. It lacked strategy, cohesion, and the tools needed to truly serve our customers or support growth.

Present

Today, our retail stores are fully integrated with our ERP system, enabling real-time visibility and seamless operations. With advanced forecasting models and a focus on quality, we efficiently replenish inventory across our 8 locations to deliver a consistent, premium customer experience.

Future

In the future, we plan to double our retail footprint and elevate every aspect of the in-store experience. This includes investing in ship-from-store capabilities, enhanced inventory levels, upgraded café equipment, and refined furnishings that better reflect our brand and values.

From the Founder: Built by Grit, Backed by Patriots

My name is Tyler Merritt, and before I ever printed a t-shirt, I wore a uniform.

While serving in the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, I had the honor of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with some of the most courageous men and women this country has ever produced. These were not just my teammates – they were my brothers in arms. They were American heroes. And behind every one of them was a network of families, friends, and supporters who quietly carried the weight right alongside us.

In 2012, while still actively deployed, I started Nine Line Apparel with my family from our home in Savannah, GA. We didn’t have much – just a handful of designs, a heat press, and a relentless drive to build something that honored the people who serve and those who stand behind them.

We weren’t afraid of hard work. We’ve poured blood, sweat, and tears into every step of this journey. And trust me – we’ve done it all. From designing and packing orders by hand to building out our shop piece by piece, we've never waited for perfect conditions. We've made progress by grinding through imperfection. By leading with our values. And by not forgetting to give back to the military community which has given me personally, and our country, so much. 

By 2017, we’d outgrown the garage. We moved into a bigger space, kept growing, and eventually landed in our own building which has become our home – a place we built not just for producing apparel but establishing good paying jobs for hard working Americans. 

We create more than just apparel – we create a message. One that says: We see you. We appreciate your sacrifice. We’re proud to stand with you.
