Supporting the Night Stalker Family
For the members of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, service often happens far from the public eye.
Known as the Night Stalkers, these elite Army aviators have spent decades supporting some of our nation's most demanding special operations missions. Their motto, Night Stalkers Don't Quit, reflects a commitment that extends beyond the mission itself and into the community of service members and families who share in its sacrifices.
In February 2026, that community received a rare moment of national recognition when Chief Warrant Officer 5 Eric Slover was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions during a combat operation. Slover, a Night Stalker pilot serving as flight lead, sustained four gunshot wounds while piloting the lead helicopter but continued the mission, successfully landing his aircraft and allowing the assault force aboard to continue its operation.
His recognition also created an opportunity to shine a light on the larger Night Stalker family and the organization dedicated to supporting it.
Nine Line Apparel partnered with the Night Stalker Foundation to create a limited-edition fundraising shirt, with proceeds supporting the Foundation's work on behalf of active-duty Night Stalkers, veterans, and their families.
That support takes many forms.
For families who have lost a loved one in service, the Night Stalker Foundation helps provide educational scholarships for their children. When an active-duty service member is injured, the Foundation can step in to provide assistance when it's needed. And when Night Stalkers eventually leave military service, the organization helps them navigate the often-difficult transition from a highly specialized, mission-focused military career into civilian life.
For Nine Line CEO Tyler Merritt, a former Night Stalker himself, supporting that mission is deeply personal. But the purpose of the partnership extends far beyond any one veteran or company.
It's about taking care of a community whose members have spent their careers quietly taking care of others.
Night Stalkers are often described as “quiet professionals.” Much of what they do will never be widely known, and many of the stories behind their service may never be publicly told.
But the sacrifices made by their families, the children who grow up carrying the legacy of a fallen parent, the wounded service members facing a long recovery, and the veterans learning how to build their next chapter should never go unseen.
