"In honor of MAJ Stephen Reich, a Night Stalker and West Point graduate, this design commemorates the twentieth anniversary of his sacrifice during Operation Red Wings.

On the right chest appears the number 20, a patch that players continue to wear today in tribute to the number Stephen proudly wore on his jersey at both West Point and in the majors.

The silhouette of MAJ Reich standing beside an MH-47G Chinook, the aircraft he flew on his final mission, stands as a powerful symbol of his service, courage, and ultimate sacrifice.

Above the image, six stars represent his undefeated 6–0 record against the other service academies as a pitcher for Army Baseball—two silver stars marking victories over Air Force and four gold stars marking victories over Navy.

The baseball diamond at the base of the design reflects his athletic career at West Point and in Major League Baseball, uniting his love for the game with his legacy as a fierce competitor.

Above the Nightstalker crest stands the final line of the Night Stalkers’ creed, words that embody MAJ Reich’s life, his service, and his enduring inspiration: “I serve with the memory and pride of those who have gone before me, for they loved to fight, fought to win, and would rather die than quit.” Night Stalkers Don’t Quit."
